Anchorage Culinary Delights: A Foodie's Guide to Where to Eat
Updated: Oct 12, 2024
During my recent trip to Alaska, we spent a few days exploring Anchorage and I had the opportunity to eat at a few delicious restaurants. Here are some of my favorites!
Wild Scoops- A ice cream shop serving up delicious frozen treats made with local ingredients. It was so good that I went twice during my trip! I got the Rhubarb Crumble which is a cinnamon-nutmeg base with rhubarb jam and an oaty streusel on a waffle cone. To top it off I asked for “Alaskan Baked” which added a layer of toasted marshmallow topping on the ice cream! It was delicious.

49th State Brewing- A local restaurant and brewery with two locations, one in Anchorage and the other in Denali. This eatery serves award-winning beer and tasty meals. For an appetizer, we tried their Bavarian Handmade Pretzel which has won many foodie awards, and the halibut and chips.

Snow City Cafe- Located in downtown Anchorage, this brunch spot is serving up mouthwatering dishes from benedicts to pancakes to sandwiches and more. I tried their walnut-berry cream cheese stuffed French toast with a side of reindeer sausage.
